Sited along a busy midtown thoroughfare, the subsequent addition & renovation of the existing structure seeks a dialogue with its context. The elevation facing the thoroughfare acts as a billboard, advertising to passersby the function within, a child development center and a safe house for at risk youth. This side of the building houses offices and administration functions.

The addition to the South takes a more fun and whimsical form, using a tallow band of metal panel to connect the addition to the existing structure. This side of the building houses a child development center for the community
