The meat market industry is a major part of Nebraska’s agriculture and our clients wanted a space to represent their part within it. The design became based around the meat market industry using historical precedents while also introducing new ideas. When a customer first enters through the vestibule, there are images of the old-time meat market to help ground the historical value. Above the meat counter is a triangulated surface that represents the folding and packaging of meat. A large, chrome finished steer overlooks the entirety of the space that can be viewed from both the interior and exterior. The steer has since become the clients main branding element in both the space and advertisements.
