A Message From the 2025 AIA Nebraska President

Along with the AIA Nebraska Board of Directors, I would like to wish you all a happy and healthy 2025.

Our success as a chapter is strengthened by member engagement. If not already, I encourage you to make this the year to get involved. We have several amazing committees that work on a variety of initiatives, and each of them would welcome new members to help achieve their goals this year. We will continue to have liaisons for each committee from the AIA Nebraska Board of Directors to support and strengthen communication. Please take a moment to review the list of committees on our website and see if you are interested in any of them. I encourage you to reach out if you wish to get involved in a committee or another capacity.

The new year marks a new legislative session. We have learned that advocacy efforts at local, state, and federal legislation directly impacts our profession. With our local chapters focusing on advocacy, we will continue to monitor all relevant legislation as usual and share with the membership. When there is a call for action on an issue, please take time to be an advocate for our profession.

Keep an eye out for continuing education opportunities and events hosted by AIA Nebraska throughout the year. Our committees and events are always a great way to reconnect with people. Invite and encourage others from your firm to join.

I would like to acknowledge Sara and Tyler for all their efforts to keep AIA Nebraska a thriving organization. Along with the AIA NE Board Members, Section and Committee leaders, their leadership at the local and state levels has lasting impacts. They keep us well connected to other State chapters, as well as at the national level. Thank you for all you do!
