Chartboost, a fast-growing mobile game technology company, approached us to quickly create an environment in a short-term subleased space. We designed the project with a light hand to develop an overall look with color, playful carpet patterns, and custom furniture. Adaptable and dynamic social and informal breakout spaces were key to the design both to reflect the company as well as accommodate rapidly increasing staff requirements. The Chartboost Parklet was imagined as a functional way to allow for change in the use of their space over time while providing highly desired breakout and social spaces. Situated on locking casters, the five parts of Chartboost Parklet can be pushed together or pulled apart to accommodate a variety of activities from team meetings to personal semi-private lounging. Three distinct shapes allow for varying levels of interactivity when separated and even more combinations of use when combined.

Jury Comments: We like the concept of the furniture as a landscape, literally. The pieces can configure themselves in many ways. People can make a room or enjoy a larger room with these. It’s fun and useful.
