The project consists of a Medical/Surgical bed tower (Phase I and II) located on an ancillary base composed of Procedural Services, Obstetrics, Diagnostic Services, ICU, Emergency, Café/Food Services and Support Services. The hospital is complemented with a 140,000-square-foot Medical Office Building (Phase I & II). The site in Bellevue, NE, is northwest of Offutt Air Force Base and directly adjacent to the Hwy. 370 Corridor (east-west) with a major visual presence to south bound U.S. Hwy. 75 (north-south).

Jury Comments: This is one of the few hospitals that we have seen that truly aspires to be good architecture. The design looks beyond mere function to consider site and local vernacular as inspiration.
