The college student’s world changes daily and they wanted a spiritual refuge that was unchanging. They wanted a building that spoke about its intended use, that could house a chapel, classrooms, lounges, library, offices, a rectory for five priests, indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, and crowned by a bell tower to speak visually and audibly to the campus. The building incorporates art in the form of stained glass, murals, stenciling, historic and new furniture pieces and statues. The altar furnishings span 100 years, two continents, and six churches of origin. The church has an active student parish and destination for people of all faiths.
